Help! I would like for our residents to honor Patriot Day in an activity on September 11, but I just can't think of a way to do so! Any suggestions? We are doing food drives, etc beforehand, but I would like something for that day...help!!!! :-) |

If you are from the USA, you could always make a program with a blend of Memorial day mixed with some of the July 4th holiday. Do everything in red, white and blue. Do a special program to remember those who gave their lives to protect us from terrorism (those on the plane in Pennsylvania) and those who lost their lives needlessly at the Pentagon and in New York City. Then make it more upbeat and how proud we are to be Americans and how "These colors Won't run!) have someone make a patriotic cake and or serve patriotic red/white, and blue popsicles.. something else you could propably do is to honor the local fire department, police department, and other first emergency responders for all the important work they do to help the citizens, and bring in a representative of each department and give them a plaque and serve patriotic refreshments. |
