I found that my resident's enjoy Silly News stories, funny laws or jokes. It goes over well because everyone can participate and usually they end up thinking of a story or joke of their own. I just google stuff and share with the resident's. Today we are doing Funny Laws. I would just make sure that you read through the stuff, some can be offensive. So I don't recommend that you print and start reading it to them.  :)

I recently made an activity called "Internet Exploring" in which we hooked up the mac notebook to the big screen and we watched youtube video's of animals, babies laughing and kids say the darnest things. They loved it. Then we also explored other websites to show them what is out there (like face book, pinterest....)

There are a lot of websites devoted to laughter therapy... but here's a nice 'starter' NPR story to get familiar. I do use it in my assisted living and memory care exercise groups. Great way to break the ice and work on vocal agility!

We do a program called Riddles & Jokes a few times a month in my facility. My residents really enjoy it. I just google different riddles that I believe they will like (be careful though, some are inappropriate)
