Wow - that's tough. Do you have a nurse/legal consultant that your community uses? They can pull up the documentation that relationships can be appropriately formed if the two parties are at similar levels of cognition and interactions are documented to observe/limit emotional/sexual exploitation. In WA state, our DSHS has a video on dementia and sexuality as part of the Dementia Training process. I don't know the video of which you speak, but your in-house education specialist or consultant should be able to get something appropriate for you. |

Thanks for responding, Erica. Unfortunatley, we lack an in-house educator/inservice coordinator. They have no such person, as department heads we inservice and educate our own staff :( |
