Hi, We have adopted a soldier in Afghanistan. The residents love this program. We mail goody boxes every month for him and he ends them pics and messages via Face book. we also ahve been able to Skype with our solider on one occassiona dn they really loved this. Skype service is bad there so we have only been able to connect this one time. When he comes home, he is going to visit them and they are going to give him a welcome home party. The media has been following this story too, so it is good pr for us. kathy |

Make sure you contact your local veterans' service organization first. They can point you in the right direction in finding a soldier/sailor to adopt. You can't just send boxes to an unnamed/anonymous service member anymore. Too many freaks out there wanting to do harm to our guys...sadly. |

Hi, try I personally have delt with Norma and gang. They will hook you up with just pen pal, support of one military service member to a whole platoon. I also have a Daughter and a Son serving at this time, trust me they all love anything from home. Good Luck Marla |
