My maintenance director said he will build garden boxes for the residents. I just need to find him blueprints. I am having trouble locating blueprints for wheelchair accessable garden boxes. Anyone know where I can find them?

They call them raised gardens we are getting one for the home! He could probably look at those! but if he looks at a garden box he could get his own dementions and just raise them high enough!

I googled "accessible garden designs" or something along those lines and this was the first one to pop up. It has the actual blueprints, but if your maintenance man is anything like most of them he'll probably just need a good picture to go by.

HAVE FUN!

Belleshanti, I teamed up with my local high schools Construction Technology classes and sent the instructor the picture from the nasco catalogue with the garden box I wanted circled and also a picture of the locks, and things manipulative....and they made the items for me for Free! I had to come up with the lumber...they gave me the list of lumber that they would need and our local MCCoy's lumber donated ALL OF THE LUMBER! I am picking up my boxes at lunch.... Donna

Wow. Laughing Thanks for all the great advice! We are going to go with kits.

Donna - how the heck did you get people to build stuff for you for free & then get supplies donated?????? Amazing!

Call your local boy scouts they have to do a service project before they can become eagle scouts and you can get them to build your garden boxes and it won't cost a dime
