your colors for Independence Day or Canada
Day this month.
You
will need:

Felt
or craft foam in appropriate colors (red, white
and blue for Independence Day or red and white
for Canada Day)

Ribbon
in patriotic colors

Craft
glue
-
Cut
hearts out of felt or craft foam. Make them different
sizes and colors.
- Cut
pieces of ribbon 12-18 inches long.

Cut
two slits across the center of each heart.

Weave
a piece of ribbon through the hearts. String
several hearts on one piece of ribbon if you
want. Add a little glue to keep the hearts from
slipping.

Gather
the ribbons together at the top and tie into
a knot. Add a bow.
- Add
buttons and other embellishments if you want.
- Hang
on your door and enjoy.
Great
for holding your sunglasses.
You
will need:

Craft
foam in color or pattern of your choice

Rexlace
(flat plastic lacing)
-
Craft
foam shapes (flowers or other shapes)
-
Hole
punch
-
Scissors
-
Foam
glue
-
Cut
a piece of foam 4 1/2 x 11 1/2 inches.

Fold
the strip in half so that the ends match.

Punch
holes (through both layers) evenly spaced around
three sides of the strip.
- Cut
a piece of lace and tiea knot in one end.
- Hold
the folded craft foam strip together so that the
holes match. Starting at the top on one side, insert
the lace through both holes (from back to front)
and pull it through until the knots rest against
the pouch. Repeat this step until all three sides
of the pouch are laced together.
- Tie
a knot at the end and trim off any excess lace.
- Take
another piece of lacing and thread the ends through
the top hole on each side. Knot the ends to form
a neck strap.
- Glue
craft foam shapes on the front of the pouch.
- Put
your sunglasses in the pouch and hang them around
your neck.
These
cute critters are easy to make and great for
leaving notes.
You
will need:

Spring
loaded wooden clothespins

Assorted
fun foam bugs (available at craft shops)

(Optional)
Markers, glitter glue pens and sequins
-
Cut
a piece of magnetic strip to fit the back of
the clothespin.
- Remove
the paper backing and place the magnetic strip along
one side of the clothespin.
(Optional)
Decorate the foam bug with markers, glitter pens
and sequins - adding details, spots, etc.
- Glue
the foam bug on the front of the clothespin.
- Place
on fridge or other metal surface to hold a note,
car keys or even a necklace.
